I downloaded those tutorials and he wasn't talking! It made me rather sad, I had no idea what he was doing.

Oh no there is no talking! =( that is going to make me sad as well... :(
Good thing I know"kind of" the basics behind the buttons and where to find things.
If I didn't this would prolly be a HORRIBLE tutorial. Lol
57 minutes to go...

EDIT: He does to talk! I opened up the first file and he was talking immediately.
Aly, I think you had your sound turned down on either A) your computer or B) the player itself and didn't realize it? maybe had the muted key hit on your keyboard?

Better hope he doesnt use too many keyboard shortcuts.

So many tutorials (for any software) assume that you have already been using the product for some time, and are intimately familiar with all the menus and especially the keyboard shortcuts...
"Then do such-and-such... *clickty-clack-clickity-clack*.. Viola!" ...

If not that, they go the opposite extreme of many beginner tutorials...

"This is a cube. If we select the X-axis, which is the little red arrow, and drag it while holding hte left mouse button down it will scale along the X-axis. If we select the Y-axis, which is the little green arrow, and drago it while...... " *ZZZZzzzzz...*

Why do none of them show how to perform a step the long way just -once- ?

Lol! That is a good point, you would think if they show you how to do something one way you would be able to do it for any other way.

ex: Scaling a cube, then scaling a sphere, then scaling is cylinder.

That's handy for seeing some of the tools in action as well as learning basic short cuts. But still, it's a little hard seeing how you could convert those skills into modelling something like a TF2 weapon. This is a call out to all TF2 Modelers, please, PLEASE, make a specific tutorial on how to make something relatively complex with step by step instructions! :D

Well then you just weren't listening :p He does talk in all of them, so try turning up your volume or use a different media player

God damn this took forever to upload to Dropbox. Warning this file is over 2GB. Comes with all the videos and materials to the tutorial I mentioned above. I'll keep this is up for as long as it has to be. If I ever run out of space in Dropbox, this will probably be the first thing to go, although I should be alright for a lonnnnng time. ;)

Thanks much!
Does anyone else have any trouble with this?

When I un-rar it, I get CRC checksum failures on Chapter 8, 12 and 18.
Otherwise everything is fine.

Something this large, really needs to be distributed via torrent.
If I can get it all working, I would be happy to do so.

I got some errors as well but I ignored them. Lol. It could have maybe been rared up into 4-5 different units that way there was less of a chance for a download error. But it is what it is. At least I have mostly all the other chapters to reference from. Lol

Hmm, I just tried to redownload it last night(this time using a download manager) and looks like it doesn't make a difference. These are the errors I got when extracting it all:

Dunno if my livestream counts as a tutorial, and it's not really beginner either, but whatever maybe someone will find it helpful?

Friend of mine's livestream, really advanced shit in here.

Generally, game artist, and polycount are both great resources, I would suggest you look into them.

Also, aside from the berretta tutorial I don't really have anything that's particularly beginner unfortunately :S

The beretta tutorial worked for me. Apart from the first movie being corrupt. It was easy to follow along.

Ok it was probably my mistake for putting the entire thing in as a rar file even when the compression didn't really do anything, so sorry for that guys! I removed it and now i'm just uploading it as is without any compression hopefully this will resolve any problems that came from my awesome Rar skillz.

EDIT: And here they are...again :) Wish for no problems!

One other thing, some use cannon fodder other use wunderboy. This guy uses cannon fodder but, it shouldn't make a difference seeing how I use wunderboy's plugin because I personally think it's better.
