As you may have noticed Valve have changed both their mappers and their mapping style.

SO here is a thread about What you the Old maps (e.g 2fort) be like if they were made nowadays.

I'll give an example

Yes I realise mine was Innacurate and Probably doesn't look very nice, BUT it was an example :blush:

EDIT: Incase I wasn't clear this is a fun thread where the idea is you display your thoughts on what the older maps would be like if made nowadays using a imaging program!

I don't really understand what you've drawn in that screenshot gamesmaster

In fact, Doublecross is meant to be a remake of 2fort as I understand, - so there's your answer.

Guys it was a terrible example it was supposed to be some stairs and a little sniper room.

You made 1 change to the layout and a sniper window. I don't really think this counts as what Valve would actually do; if they wanted to update 2fort and improve it then they can and they would.

Their style hasn't changed, the maps are slightly bigger and there are more themes and the only change in style between maps is the individual style of the level designers when it comes to things like i-beams and which texture they utilise on their ceilings.
