TF2Maps just asked permission to send me notifications

So, when was this added and what it will exactly do?

I noticed that too. Heh, I'm on the school computers, and I thought it was because these were never used.

It allows tf2maps.net to show it's little red notification numbers when you have notifications next to the favicon in the top tabs bar and on bookmarks.
Is there a way to turn this off? Anything that modifies my computer outside the site window (toolbars, tabs, the 72hr announcer voice lines...) annoy me a lot.

I prefer to see these notifications instead these facebook messages from friends, which most of them are this poop emoticon

You can turn off the tab modifications using the options on http://tf2maps.net/account/preferences

Desktop notifications are still experimental, and I've turned them off for now.
