That comic was good. I didn't think it was possible but the was a satisfying conclusion to the merc's stories. Interesting how it goes into first person at the end where scout is talking directly to you.

Also spy looking exactly how we expected was funny. Also the fact that there were more "competent" mercs was surprising. Like what were they doing during the gravel war? What else was TF industries doing? Also those mercs looked kinda like Overwatch characters which is funny. Overall I enjoyed it!

Speaking of the other mercenaries, the statue of them seems to have a letter missing...

What do yall think that means?

i feel like the ending means that if valve will do another team fortress game it probably won't be continuation of tf2 art style

Now that I've had a chance to read it, I was going to comment on the Administrator's motivations and try to conjecture at what the different title cards mean, but I've thought about it a little more and it feels like the writers lost the plot, either on accident or on purpose. I mean it has been awhile. Maybe they had a mostly fleshed out idea and parts of it didn't quite work, so they rewrote it. Maybe that happened a few times before they realized that the most satisfying ending would not be why it ended, but that it ended. So they gloss over some of the motivations and loose ends, and focused on beautiful art and simple, satisfying closure. I enjoyed it!

I might also be overstepping in my interpretation (and also trying to condense a complex point worse than professional writers), but I liked that they ended with the point about finiteness of this all in contrast of a never ending game and story that revolves around cheating death.

"And you and Tom Jones can both live in my pants forever" sure is a line, huh? It manages to sound way more unhinged out of context despite being Soldier levels of unhinged already.
