Awesome Job. Guilty of skipping 4 minutes in the middle, definitely a lot more "Man-with-a-butt-chin-and-a-point-to-make" kind of Soldier.

Good work! The helmet ended up looking a little weird and rushed (thanks to the large brushes, I guess), but that face is excellent.

What program is this? Looks like real pencil. :eek:

Looks like PS to me with a small brush.

This particular piece was done on a Cintiq, using Photoshop CS4 and a custom brush that works like a pencil.

It took about 12-14 minutes to complete (in real-time).

I'm taking requests for the next one, btw.

I'm still getting used to the whole digital art thing. I'm a traditional artist; pencil, brush and ink... so it's a pretty big leap forward for me and even though there are certainly advantages to using a Cintiq, using tangible media is much more appealling to me... but ends up being a much slower process.

I'll be inking this tonight, so I'll post part two as soon as it's up on YouTube.
