Point spotlight has a dynamic lighting function, toggle-able by a flag. Now, I know the light_dynamic entity got broken in TF2, but does the dynamic point_spotlight lighting work in tf2, and if so, how much of a performance hit does it have?

If it can't work out, I'll just use light_spots, but the location of the lights means that it might hit a lot of brush faces.

Nope, dynamic is dynamic, won't work. I'm pretty sure they use the same code too.

    Thanks, that's what I thought.

Also, does env_microphone work in TF2? I know I probably shouldn't, because the temptation for players to inform their fellow man that they require a dispenser, but...

point_spotlight works, valve use it for almost each single light in their maps (well, in some maps), which means it probably isnt that bad for performance.

for the env_microphone, no idea, but why dont you try it?

The dynamic light that it produces, however, does not work.
