Question about this hammer bug.

    Ok since hammer is broken and all this stuff.

    Will my models restore and will be in same positions with same settings when hammer gets fixed because if it wont fuck this i quit mapping valve can't do nothing right.

    Yes, they're still there, if you compile it the models work.

    The only problem is hammer can't display them.

    Does anyone have any idea in how many months can we use Hammer properly ? =/

    I don't see why they wouldn't stay where they were, as soon as it gets fixed. As far as i know, each model has an origin, and hammer simply keeps track of where that origin is placed, and how it is rotated.

    So if we take it for granted that they won't mess with the model origins, everything should be just fine.

    Pretty sure that it takes nothing to Valve to fix this (and HL2 DM and GMod at the same time too) but they're too lazy... cf. :displacement lightmap bug, model browser not working with some characters ...
    I really hope they have a good reason to not release a fix
