At the end of the day, the Pyromania update is a celebration—not just of Team Fortress, but more importantly of you, the TF community, and even more importantly than that, of us, the TF blog post writers, and how great yesterday's blog post was. That Men Without Hats material was a career high. In fact, we decided to never touch this blog again in the hope that it might be preserved in a perfect state for future generations.

i'm surprised there were any new items, really. they hardly seem necessary at this point.

Oh come on, all these urban combat themed weapons and no urban themed map to go with it? I'm ashamed, Valve.

Downtown Teufort: The mighty Manhattan of the Badlands. The Big Gravel. The City That Never Seeps (the slogan of our campaign to let people know we'd started getting a handle on our world-famous sewage problem). Whatever you want to call them, these streets are filled to bursting with opportunity (and, depending on the weather, up to knee-height with sewage).

Maybe you read that article in Tourism Monthly ("Teufort: It is Horrible") and you're worried about murder, thievery and tramp attacks. Don't be! Thanks to our lack of a fire department, they've got bigger things to worry about than you: Putting out all those methane fires.

Heh. Wonder if that's hinting at they're actually working on a revamped version of 2fort as well.

They are hinting at ctf_teufort, the medieval version that every scrub mapper wants to make.

I'm surprised I havn't seen anyone do that yet.

Take degroot, mirror it so each team has a keep, and then spawn intels (or maybe banners) in order at A, B, and then finally C.

now it's obvious, pyromania day 3 will reveal a new and exciting map, csf_teufort by prestige

congrats presto

The Engie Update had a map of "Badlands", with various points of interest ("Badwater Basin", "Dustbowl", "Thunder Mountain", etc.) marked out on it, and one of them was "Teufort".

an urban warfare map would be really cool (although it would probably require a lot of custom content as well, and i'm not sure how much it would fit the tf2 "theme")

i kind of want to do something like that eventually

Just realized Scorch Shot could shoot a grenade projectile, that would make it much more decent

It definitely looks more like a grenade against the Scout's face. I was wondering why it was so large.

Hey guys remember back when they spent 6-12 months designing weapons for the game and only had three or four?

Remember how the weapons were (for the most part) not utter shit?
