Problems Getting started.

Er, i read how to get mapping for TF2 starting with choosing Team Fortress 2 from the drop down menu in the SDK window. Which is fine and well but.. Team Fortress 2 doesn't appear in the drop down menu for me. I've tried refreshing content and reseting game configurations but nothing. Yea i also have the game and have played it.

Sorry, you probably get this all the time.. but any help is appreciated.

You know... the little box at the bottom of the green SDK menu where you can pick the game to work on before you open hammer...

Make sure you're not running hammer in mode -episode1 or whatever. Right click on the source sdk and go to properties and then to launch options and clear out whatever's there.

Ah, thanks MangyCarFace. It's there now Although it has now removed Half-Life: Deathmatch, Counter-Strike, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1. Nevermind.. I only used deathmatch anyway.

you might also try the beta version, which includes a second dropdown for episode 1 and orange box
