Simply Amazing. I really dig your style, especially the colour scheme and architecture. I did a brief run around with a friend over a lan today and just found it a little hard to sort of.. find each other. Fair enough it was only my second time on the map but currently it is more complex than other maps.

Not that I'm stupid and complaining about it being "too gosh-darn fancy" just saying that it is definitely a bit harder to pick-up-n-play. I bet by my third time through though, I will of already started giving each nook and cranny a name so no worries..

I really can't wait to see more stages of this map.. Once your at the stage of doing Class Balance I will be :O

Finally, Whenever you get the time, a couple of tutorials on some of the unique things you did would = Thank You's that block out the Sun because I am a new mapper and want to completely copy your style. /unfunny joke. I actually just want to learn a bit of practical/theory and having an incentive to learn that (i.e. this map) would be awesome. Well, I'm allowed to dream about a tut aren't I?

Nice map, Eerie. Very detailed, and wow, Blue can look nice in wood (think I've mentioned that before). Couple fixes (I apologize if I repeat anything already said):

That is...somewhere near a point. You should be able to tell where. But there are some Playerclip issues, it seems. On the first picture, I'm actually not quite on that fence. On the second one, I'm in the corner on the death pit side (and can actually save myself from the death pit by shimmying along the ground next to the fence.

Small area where I can climb on. I can then climb on top of the rock to my left (I find that acceptable since it juts out a far amount, but the small ledge seems that it should be playerclipped. This is taken outside of a spawn

I think this is outside the same spawn as above. It's over by the water and wood barricades. That black shape isn't always seen, but it just looks...odd.

Going into gameday today i had very high expectations and hopes for premuda, probably to high actually, And i still do. First of all i must say the map looks incredible, great job and making yes another beautiful map.

After playing todays gameday it was clear that it needed some layout work. I was a little bumed, but then i saw it was alpha so that explained it. In comparison to dustbowl (not gameplay wise but directional) it is always very obvious for both teams on where to go. for blu they leave spawn and follow the general direction of the map to get to the firs point, and on to the final. In premuda it wasn't obvious where to go. The layout wasnt confusing, but it required looking for signs to find where to go sometimes if you get what i am saying.

Also when in battle jumping around, dodging rockets and trying to kill people, i kept backing up and falling off cliffs. A number of people also had this problem. I like the death pits, but their might be to many as it seemed out of nowhere in the middle of battle i was falling. You dont have to block or remove them, just put small fences around some of them so you have to jump over it to fall of not just walk off.

A few sky box issues i think.

All in all though the map was fun and it looked fantastic.I Cant wait to see where this map goes.

Really nice work on detailing so far :) The sun is a bit misplaced tho. Move it a bit both up and right and it should be fine (its in the middle of a cloud atm, looks a bit odd

the sun ain´t in the middle of a cloud, it´s between two clouds in the open

i don´t get what´s hard on aiming for the most present building in the area :)
it´s got several signs and every point is beneath a giant rotating dish :p
i´ll look into that, maybe come up with a solution for that

deathpits, yeah, i plugged several holes in stage 2 as you might have noticed, but you´re right, i will add fencing everywhere

the skybox glitch is due to having only skyboxwater underneath my map atm

Ok sounds good, also you dont need to fence the entire map or fence all the death pits. Just some so that in the middle of combat your not falling or constantly looking for the pits.

Thier was a small displacement leak under a set of wooden stairs outside one of the spawns I dont remember which though. Didnt get enough time on your map i crashed.

I didnt crash but i did notice eerieone that you left and rejoined the server multiple times, and played source SDK, Though one time it was no steam logon.

dug in to solve the fps-issues
figured out the height of the normal env_rain particle (~3000 units) and let them end at the rooftops so it doesn´t rain inside, only using the colliding particles where they are really neccessary :)

Love where the map is going, the feel of the map is different of what I've played so far in tf2, love it :)

Gonna post some things I encountered so far.

did anyone else crash? i crashed once too and got some report from a friend that he crashed solo-ing through the latest version
complete freeze without error-windows, so i dont know what might have caused it

Crashed/froze twice here in 2 playtest rounds on my pc.
First after i capped stage 1 cappoint 1, second time on second stage, just when I entered the spot where the intel lies.


I agree with Sausage it needs more signs on where to move. The map is not hard to learn at all, but I can imagine new players getting lost on the map.
More large signs so you have no choice where to go ;)

Maybe it's also possible that, after a point is capped (or intel is brought ;) ) the preceding area get's blocked so players are only present in the area of the current cappoint. Maybe add a forward spawn on each cappoint along with that.

Noticed something in the hud.
I have some difficulties on seeing the countdown when the intel returns. It's red now, and the map itself is reddish too. Maybe change to a different color if possible? The text: returned to the base was only half displayed , the rest disappeared behind the hud.

Rain: could be a bit less for my taste. I feel it's a bit too much for the weather conditions presented in the map.

Lightbulb 1st spawnroom. Light is below the lightbulb instead of in the bulb.

Lots of lovely custom content and such a picturesque setting. Haven't loaded it up yet. Busy today, damned RL. Have uploaded to the server I admin on though. Looking forward to a good 32 player playtest.
Will report back with reactions, any players crashing(&where) and anything else I can find that might help you out.
Keep up the good work!
- on a sidenote. When I uploaded I uncompressed the zip and compressed your bsp in rar(32.2mb). your zip(45.2mb), in bz2(40.6mb). Might be worth compressing the file in rar in future, Help prevent those who whinge about filesize. Lots of custom content = filesize ppl :huh:

sorry of the lack of quality in these screens, the graphicscard doesn´t work right, in addition to that, somehow it doesn´t show the rain and grass-sprites

but enough of the moaning
i implemented the rowboat and paddle from the swamp pack, since the fit perfectly
