My hammer is loading old versions of tf2

I just started mapmaking and when it comes to compiling it's all fine but when I load Tf2 It sends me back to the tough break version of the game on a side note it's always on Fullbright regardless if it has lights or not

Can you post your map's compile log from after you compile in Hammer?

Yea I have had that problem to back in the day (2 months ago).

Your compile log looks OK, but just take a closer look and you will find an error.

(side note, you know how proper lighting works right, like it always needs a light_environment and stuff?)

yes I have environment lighting and basic lighting on my map but it's still at Fullbright

Please do post the compile log. You very likely have an obvious error in it.
