Whoa there, no need to be angry. The TF2 Servers are under a ton of Stress now, even our servers can't be updated because of it. If people want to pay for the items, then thats fine by me. The item servers have been going in and out of consiousness since the update. You just need to wait.

I'm not angry, just frustrated. Server problems are annoying anyway when you're just trying to get a quick half-hour in before grocery shopping or whatever, but when there are so many cool new items to be found and tried out, it's rage-inducing to not be able to play properly. I'm not blaming Valve, or the people who bought the bundles (I just can't imagine spending that much on anything game related), or any of the people who found them in random drops when I didn't.

I do too, but, objectively, it's still one of the best updates so far. I would just hardly call it ambitious to release one (ONE!) new map, weapons for most of the classes, and make the game free when it was dirt cheap anyway and almost four years old. Ambitious would have been new a new game mode or new buildables, or even a new themed map pack.

So, yeah, their hyped up claims are bullshit, but the update isn't.

Meet the medic was good, but not great. The only bit i really laughed at was the end. Spy and Sniper were both better.

Looking back on it-- I think Meet the Medic is the best Meet the Team Video so far. At first I was like "It's kinda on part with Meet the Spy", but then I realized that there was much more to it.

i wanted more medic gameplay tbh. there was basically one uber up the hill and that was it, the rest was operating like he's a doctor. hell, i would have just wanted a medic uber to save like 3 soldiers as they are about to fall down to their death. basically, too much medic sitting behind lines treating people, wanted more of him healing people who are dealing damage and saving lives and staying alive from the enemy (scout jumping around trying to kill the medic, medic dodges, goes behind some cover and saws him or something). i had too high expectations for sure

as critical as i am, it was pretty awesome, one of the best meet the's.

I liked how they didn't just show a series of badass action clips of the Medic in combat, but instead made a little short film about the invention of the Ubercharge.

My two favorite details: "Meet the Sandvich" was apparently from the Spy's point of view, and all the mercenaries apparently have cyborg mega-baboon hearts.

Also, the music was totally awesome.

You've just said it a lot now. I guess I just don't understand why it's a problem. If you want, buy a bunch of cheap items and craft them so you can get the pack items, I dunno. $100 is a lot, but I doubt they'll reduce it since people have likely bought it already. Or maybe they will. You can hope, I guess.

Just to make it clear. I haven't bought the pack.

And some of us can't play TF2 24/7 to get tons of weapon drops. Therefore me crafting all the items is definitely never going to happen.

Anyway, does anybody here think there's anything to the rumors on SPUF that the update isn't really over and that there's going to be a big Engineer pack and raid mode tomorrow? Me neither.

I think the "most ambitious" label is fine. You need to look at it from Valve's point of view. Taking one of their best selling, most popular games and making it free is crazy.

Now that I got most of the new soldier weapons I can say, this is a

unfair, fun and efficient - that is how I like my tf2
