Map names

So which do you like? Since the release of Furnace Creek into beta is drawing near I wan't to get this sorted once and for all.

Bearing in mind the name is "Furnace Creek" and that isn't subject to change, which naming convention do you prefer?

But in all seriousness, the full name doesn't make it obnoxiously long, and it's not like it really makes a difference how long the file name is. So go with what makes the load screen title nicest!

You do also have to remember that we CAN'T have a second word without putting in the filename... making your reasoning pretty much invalid....

Do you really want to make things harder for server admins?

Keep it short. I played with a two word name and it just didn't stick in peoples' minds.
Seriously, do not, not not make it the long name.

I like Furnace

It's an interesting topic to me; what makes a good map name. It is the first impression you make on a player, after all.

I always thought they should be short, evocative, and iconic

Steel is probably the best map name imo

pl_molybdenum would not be...

Keep it short, keep it simple. Bloating map names with words like "Creek/River/Valley" just makes it harder for admins to run the map and it distracts players from the unique part of the name you want people to identify.

Furnace -> short, easy to remember

Any1 knows how badwater is badwater basin (and well (cp) and well (ctf)) on the loading screen? (hardcoded?)

Because my vote would be cp_furnace_b1 with Furnace Creek as loading text (maybe when it's official (valve should stop ignoring youme's quality))
