You know how Hammer, like pretty much every program, has a list at the bottom of the File menu of the last four maps you opened? Is there a setting I can hack to make that list longer? I end up opening a lot of other maps as reference whenever I work, which tends to fill up this list. It'd be nice to have quick access to all of my reference maps and the ones I'm working on. #firstworldproblems

Just you wait until you start using instances. Say goodbye to ever using that menu list again.

I use instances. That's why I wish this list could be extended.

I started using instances and said goodbye to that menu list. Also opening ABS vmfs has never been so list consuming before.

I investigated this once, unfortunately the answer appeared to be no. I found where they are stored in the registry, but that doesn't help any since the UI is coded to be the way it is.
