Scoped shotgun? don't be silly. Borderlands already proved it's pointlessness.

Not to make the comic seem less funny, but scoped shotguns on Borderlands were quite useful as they decreased spread a good amount.

Here's a list of reasons it is not a scope, for your reposting pleasure whenever someone says it is a scope:

1. It's on a shotgun (i.e. useless)
2. It is on the side of the gun (i.e. useless)
3. It is on the right side of the gun (i.e. how would the engineer use it as a scope)
4. It HAS A METAL ROD COMING OUT OF THE BACK, WHERE YOUR EYE WOULD GO IF IT WAS A SCOPE
5. It's clearly shaped like an air canister.

Actually I think the attachment to the engineer's shotgun in the mac ad is a laser dot. You know, to make your sentry identify spies or shoot far targets.

Why doesn't anyone know a damn thing about shotguns?

The shells you put into the gun have to go SOMEWHERE! Lower tube is not a barrel, the shells go into it.
