Can you ask Robin why it is taking so long to fix the Red spawns on Granary? And if there are any planning to allow you to control where you spawn; like have a system where whoever joins first for a team always spawns in the same location for that map?

The variation in spawns drives me nuts because I always have to spin quickly to find my demo and then buff him for rollouts. Granary is the worst because I usually spawn on the right and have to cycle to get to the left and stay on time.

Would Valve ever implement an custom content add-on system for TF2, similar to the system in L4D2?

I'd like to know WTH they were thinking when they designed the milkman set. :p
That's my only grief with the sets in general... well, that and the fact you need a hat to complete the 5 polycount packs, but they've already admitted it was a mistake they couldn't go back on but they wouldn't do it again, and indeed they didn't with the australian christmas update.

I'd like to know what they think in terms of class (one if not THE major feature of TF) balance and utility, how it has evolved through QTF, TFC, the original TF2 and the present-day TF2 and if they have more plans for the future. The beta items seem to suggest that yes, to an extent, but how ? Would they consider going back and re-examining some of their past design decisions (including very old ones) or is "moar unlocks !" the answer to everything from now on ?

Oh yeah and I guess it can't hurt to ask one more time how meet the medic & pyro are doing, right ? :p

Not directly as a question but make sure you get a good look at some secrets... You know teasers of new maps, game types items. Is the next "meet the..." in progress, will the series ever be finished, what's the source code for valve's next multi-million dollar game...

You'll really need to be wearing a camera beard for this stuff.

On a more serious note - what changes are being done with information gathered from the TF2 Beta... if any.

Actually I am hugely interested in the unused TF2 content they have. Not like, unfinished, but more "This doesn't work" or "We gave up on this". I'd love to see cut material sometime. Not necessarily for this, but.

Why do you make it so hard for (Source)Modders to change items? Apparently, on your own private server, giving players hats they don't have or unusual effects they don't have, or giving players renamed weapons is highly frowned upon and Valve threatened to break the plugins making it possible so server owners can't do this anymore. (Break the plugins even further, that is): http://forums.alliedmods.net/showpost.php?p=1316186&postcount=451 http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=126577

tl;dr why do hats and the store even ruin so much potential of modding tf2

Wish Dario and his wife a nice holiday in Europe after P2 is released if you see him.

The excuse that they can't "go back" on mistakes like this is frankly a bullshit excuse, because they're already done exactly that for things like the Natascha.

Valve, are you afraid that undoing a bad idea would be frowned upon, even if the customers are asking for exactly that to happen, and you agree with them? I mean, how many times have you radically changed the game before you introduced the Mann-conomy system?

Just get rid of the hat requirement for the set bonuses, and for god's sake GET RID OF THE TARGE ALREADY. IT BREAKS THE DEMO.

You should ask them: "What is your main set of (level) design elements/vocabularly.

3. How important is the community in TF2's continued survival?

Don't waste time on rhetorical questions.

Unless you mean the TF2maps community in particular...

Recently there have been quite a few contests/competitions where Valve has agreed to some sort of prize (Officialising a map, making weapon models real weapons, giving medals to the winners of a league). But in most of these, the people running the contest had to approach the TF2 team indepentantly. Will this continue to be the trend, or can we expect Valve-run contests in the future?

What was the reasoning behind making Medieval mode?

Many people are now complaining about the lack of optimization in models included in more recent updates. Recent patches have suggested that the team is trying to go back and fix this, but at a slow pace. How important is this compared to the addition of new content?

Ask them if they enjoy eating at the new Din Tai Fung down at Lincoln Center. If they haven't heard of it, tell them the Shanghainese food there is *excellent*.

Please, ask them to make some decent weapons for classes such as sniper, that fit the original play style / role of the class. All the Sniper weapons, I mean all of them, suck.

The problem is, people have spent 30+ dollars on polycount packs and hats for these bonusus specifically. Don't get me wrong, I strongly disagree with the polypack bonuses but I also strongly disagree with ripping off a paying customer.

Well, theoretically speaking, they could refund the "extra cost" (polycount price - normal hat price) to the steam wallet, and since these are "non-existant" items that were purchased, Valve wouldn't really be losing anything by refunding money without taking items back. (and we all know they certainly make enough profit to need not worry about the actual monetary loss)

Hmm. I'll have to go by sometime... Although their website makes it look like the only meat available is either pork or shrimp...

I suppose that works... The only problem would be trade-able hats and transactions which already occurred where the real-world hat price was a factor. People who traded away "too much" for the now-less-valuable hats would be pissed.

Well, think of that as a cheap tutorial on how the REAL stock market works.

But regardless, if Valve actually implemented a custom mod/scripting/content system identical to how the one in L4D2 works, we could fix the damn game anyway we wanted and play on our own servers. Implement Trotim's whitelist? Remove class-breaking items without crashing TF2 or special servers? Playing on a heavily modded server one minute and instantly switching to an official-content-only server the next moment, also without crashing?

When can we have this system? It already works for L4D2. And with the kind of experimentation they plan for TF2 in the future, an .exe upgrade is inevitable.

Let's fucking do this.
