I have to say, I disliked ctf a/d a lot when the concept and the maps were new, but I can really say they've grown on me a lot. Much more than plr.

I couldn't agree more. I always felt that there was a reason that Valve never redid avanti for TF2... that the game-mode had too many problems and when brought over it just didn't feel right. However, these maps all seem to prove them otherwise... I wouldn't be surprised if Valve seriously starts thinking about adding a new game-mode after this contest...
