$8 a month for more weapons and maps?
sounds better than $150 for a green shining hat to me
there's really no way to tell how bad this elite subscription service will be. we'll have to wait and see before we can judge, but yeah I agree that it has the power to be terrible
When have you been forced to pay $150 for a hat in order to pay the game?

but the elite subscription is technically optional too, that's why I'm saying wait until it's released before judging anything
I'm not. This is Activision's death sentence. They're going up against Battlefield 3, and frankly, they're going to lose.
I wish this were true, but I know it's not. People will buy this. Activision will make money. They will see no negatives in continuing it and continue to rape gullible idiots with disposable cash to give them more of it.
What blows my mind is exactly this. I wish I had some sort of psychological reasoning machine that would tell me exactly why people still buy into this even though they know they are getting scammed.
Some people don't know or care they're getting scammed. They do it because they friends are or because they think "oh, what is $10 if I can get more shit."
Others say they care, and then either cave because of peer pressure or because they were full of shit in the first place.
It's not anything anyone really needs to understand. Even I've fallen victim to it (as is the case with buying Global Agenda. Ugh.) I think primarily it's peer pressure.
I thought i'd given them enough of my money anyway :/
Though I agree it is a stupid way to make money, all of it is totally optional and as such I see no need to hate on it too much. If you dont need it, just dont buy it and play on!
