I will almost certainly get this. I've followed it for a while, and I really like the story and the art style (Olivier was right all along).
Unless all the reviews say it is a catastrophic let down, I'm definitely getting it.

I worry it'll be TF2's "hat" situation from day one, and you won't be able to tell what you're looking at except that it's not on your team and therefore must be shot.

You sir are daft then. A system that starts out with diverse customization will never get as stupid as some of TF2's customization since it's already very varied and since they don't have to break any design philosophy to add more, unlike TF2.
