My general policy is that I'll suffer through the ads but take scorched-earth retribution on anything that starts playing sound or streaming video without me explicitly clicking on it. (Some activate on rollover, which isn't just evil, but weaselly evil.)

i just clicked on the ad and it's telling me it's not a ninja technique, the CIA uses it, contradicting information about how it's both a gift from the gods and it's exploiting complex brain signals, and that i get a free book telling me how to make dogs dance on stilts and bring animals back to life if i buy the invisibility book

wow. i almost want to buy that book just to see what it tells me if it ever get it

They talk for about a minute and then she's all "You're really lucky to have gotten a room all to yourself." Just stone cold fails to notice I'm sitting right there two feet away from her. True story.

Things I never what to hear a site admin say.

Although I do admit, an add to turn invisible is much better then an add that takes up half your screen when you accidently rollover it.
