You could also be a pro like me and just not launch TF2 until the SDK functions again.

No launch = no Steampipe conversion = fully functional SDK

I can't compile but that's how I roll motherfucker.

You could also make a copy of your gcf files somewhere else temporarily, rename your TF2 folder to 'tf_backup', then after converting to steampipe, move the gcf files back and restore the folder name.

Then you get steampipe AND the old tf folders/SDK.

Temporary measure obviously, since that content will go out of date.

i was compiling just fine despite only getting steampiped yesterday

Sheesh, you make it sound like something that happens in dark alleys behind bars.

I don't know if this is a bug or a configuration issue..

but the brushes don't show up when you try to paint alpha on displacements.

This will cause hammer to crash...

You have alien swarm SDK?
if so make a copy of the folders:
teamapps\common\alien swarm\bin\filters
to the:
steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin
Here works perfect ... copy :) not move!

Voce tem alien swarm SDK?
Caso sim faça uma copia da pasta steamapps\common\alien swarm\bin\filters
para do steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin
Aqui funciona perfeito ... lembra que é copiar e nao mover!
