Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to Hammer and been making little maps and stuff like that. But I've heard of 3d skyboxes, watched a few vids on em, and still have no idea what it is or how to set it up. Anyone got any ideas?
Here's the rundown, a 3d skybox uses an entity "sky_camera", the sky_camera is positioned outside of the map in a miniature scene (also surrounded by a skybox). It then "transmits" what it sees to the playspace's skybox. (And what it transmits is relative to map origin, so you have to align it so it works. More info here.)
