Third Gameday Event per week?

Do you wish to see a third gameday, and if so, when?

Ok, there's a load more requests for Sunday and practically it makes more sense so we'll go with that after all.

Now i just need to figure out a decent time.

How is 8 or 9pm GMT sound? That should mean UK and US people are able to play and i'll have eaten dinner by then, hopefully.

8 is probably best. 2/3 hour testing from 9 means it will last until 11/12 which may be a bit late.

That'd be incredibly useful. I really hate making a slight change to a map and then having to wait such a long time to see how it plays. I voted Monday, but Sunday would also work.

You can only submit a map once a week...

i think what you should do is have a second gameday for both EU server and US server. because if one gets chosen over another, people will feel like they prefer one side over another. What i am saying is pretty much if EU gets 2 gamedays and US gets only 1, i might have a slight chance of getting it tested since i can't play on the EU server.

EU and US gamedays rotate per week. Sunday may be the same. What i might do is when i gather slot entries is ask them to list a prefered server. Server with the most votes from authors is the server that gets used. If i see one server constantly getting voted in though i may have to switch it up anyway for the players sake.

We'll go for a gameday this sunday and see how it goes.

Thread will go up Friday night/Saturday morning, depending on timezone and whether i'm under the influence. But it will be after Okrag hosts Friday's Gameday.

Offtopic: Maybe, there should be more casual events. Simply enjoying the game together with other mappers. It's more fun to play with people I know.
These casual things happen really rarely, but they're real fun. :)

I don't like that idea. I usualy only enter my maps into EU becuase I know I can attend at that time. Sunday on US will mean around 10pm for me, which is a bit late. I think it's best to just alternate. Or see which Wed/Fri gameday thread gets the most late/extra submissions.

Casual events happen once or twice a week and don't require the TF2maps servers to happen. Map testing needs to really happen on a server that does events for it, like BluePrint at PlayStuff or Gameday here. People can casual play when ever they want whilst this is something that needs to be scheduled: Impromptu's a fine but rarely fill up and there's no garauntee that you can make one on X day and time.

Times would be GMT Jack, which means 8-10PM UK would be ~2-4PM US.

US Gamedays wouldn't have to be 5 EST(10 GMT) because people wouldn't be in school on Sunday.

I'd love to get another gameday. All the entries for the other gamedays fill up within two hours of the thread opening. I've been trying to get mine in for the better part of three weeks.

Ok, so the past few weeks i havn't run these gamedays as they've fallen on bank holidays where i've been with family. Currently with the new contest in the works impromptu's have really picked up, sometimes 3-4 sessions a day, particularly on the weekend.

Would you like to see Sunday gamedays return or will it take up too much server time which could be used running the currently more in demand impromptu map testing for the contest?

Sunday gamedays could provide some respite from contest maps if i limit the amount of contest entries so those not participating don't feel so alienated. But it's up to you guys. It also makes sense to test the contest maps as much as possible as frequently as possible.
