The quick list isn't very good at the moment for maps you don't have so we're going to do something about it.

I'll keep the first post updated with a list of maps that we want to do thumbnails for. If you want to help in any way by making screenshots or the files themselves say so first - then stick to your word and pm me the files once you're done.

Once we've got as many maps sorted out as possible I'll put them all into one download and upload them for you.

If the map is still in development please don't post it. maps that haven't been updated for months and months can be assumed 'finished' even if they still have a _b tag.

Great start Icarus :thumbup1:

I've spoken to vilepickle and he gave me the go ahead to do all of his maps, I'll download and take screenshots of the rest of his now.

Taken screenshots for cp_roswell and mario_kart as well, perhaps some of the orange_x maps would be good choices too?

Finished up all vilepickle's maps allong side roswell and desert fortress. now I think of it I think arena_offblast is still in developement.

Think we should do achievement maps as well? or is that too far?

Too far in my opinion. Honestly, they deserve to rot without a quicklist picture.

I can do cp_orange_x and cp_orange_x3.

You could make a picture with a red-ink rubber-stamp thing that says CHEATER across it and put it in for all the achievement map you can find without mentioning it's included. :lol:

you might want to correct stronghole -> stronghold

It's only a typo in the post, not in the files.

Yes. Maybe we could have a screenshot of the map with the red ink CHEATER stamp on it? Or maybe ACHIEVEMENT writen on it?

Sorry for the necro, but I've got a little problem with the quicklist thumbnails.

I downloaded some of them and they work fine on the first start up. But they sometimes get "broken" once I joined and left a server. At the same time the console gets flooded with error messages:


Shader specifying too-thin vertex format, should be at least 16 bytes! (Supressing further warnings)
This message is displayed when the thumbnail gets replaced by a white rectangle with a diagonal line.

In this case the thumbnail is displayed as a small pink/black checkerboard (like a missing texture).

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Could be because the server you joined ran sv_pure

We took down quicklist thumbs on our servers because we found that the download progress bar was being affected. Since there are two downloads, they each get half the progress bar which makes map downloads look reeeaaaallly slow.
