The only reason that im using random logic is because this thread was dying, and rikka is being too serious. The game is meant to be fun, and people are starting to get pissed.

In other news, I think that days should only be 48 hours long, 2 weeks is too long for my attention span, im starting to get bored with fucking with you guys's minds.

No one's pissed. But this is a game where people pick apart what each other say any grill them over every little inconsistency. We're not playing the game wrong, the game isn't what you thought it was going to be. Don't be grumpy because you can't handle it.

If you're fucking with our minds, all that will happen is that you get lynched, and you just made the game harder for all the other people on your side. That's like joining a sports team and screwing around while your team tries to play the game.

This message is a classic example of what I am talking about, logically. Rikka poses himself as "the reasoner" who logics everyone else out. Im sure the game is being played correctly, so its time to buckle down, right?

It makes perfect sense to me that Rikka would be the Maffia, since he has spent the last couple pages of thread being the ringleader for accusing people with faulty logic. For some reason, everyone wants to do what he does, since he is the only one who is actually using logic instead of guessing.

Well, times have changed: Im taking a read through the whole thread tonight, and will post after I do with my feelings.

Sure I may have been fucking with minds, but thats simply because this thread was in dire trouble of being buried. Mission accomplished, right?

And Rikka, I dont want to you get me wrong, I am and hope that everyone else is having fun. Honestly, Ive never played Maffia before, so I am trying to figure out the best strategy, like everyone else, right? I just feel like your posts are a different tone from everyone elses, as they are cold, calculating, and logical.

Maybe if everyone elses was, it would be an entirely different story!

Oh ya, one other thing: In Rikkas mind, not posting is suspicious of being a maffia, so and also is posting. So what should the maffia be doing if they dont want to get caught, eh? REASONING THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE!

Grim why are you defending yourself with walls of text? If your defense was strong at all you'd be able to do it in a single line.

The thread was in no danger of being buried. And I posting something suspicious is what is suspicious. Posting on its own is fine.

Being the only person willing to actually scum-hunt makes me mafia? News to me. And people paying attention to me because I use logic actually makes a lot of sense. Should people follow me blindly? Of course not, but if what I says actually has reasoning it understandable someone would be willing to listen to me over "HEY GUYS LOOKS AT HOW RANDOM AND HILARIOUS I AM!"

I've played forum mafia before. On a forum dedicated to it. The style there is much colder. And I've brought that here.

As to the faulty logic, I'm willing to admit I don't always attack with the most solid bases. But I'm trying to get people to talk, to see how they react.

Grim why are you defending yourself with such massive walls of text? If your defense was strong at all you'd be able to do it in a single line.

Like Grim said, you're "I'm not mafia." defense is quite amazing.

I look forward to your analysis, Grim.

Well, I've re-read the entire thread, and would like to change my vote.

Although Rikka knows how to play the game, and if he was smart, would be doing right now exactly what he is (assuming he is the maffia).

My new vote is for Numerous. I doubt that a perma-lurker would be a maffia (Muffin or Owl), as being a maffia in my eyes would be quite fun. Which brings me to Numerous. He has held up a quite average amount of posts--nothing to write home about (nerdboy and rikka, you guys post the most). Rikka also assumes that my "trolling" has been arbitrary. Well newsflash: It wasnt. My posts were trying to gauge players, and their responses to my posts. Rikka has been able to find legit reasons to disregard my trollin' posts.

Examples:
And that is why I lurk this thread, so no one will have a read on me. And thats what any smart Maffia would do.
he he he

That's what I thought, tuesday, but then I realised that A) its boring, and B) this was a perfect chance to troll a mafia into responding, and possibly giving away hi mafia status.

Also, I noticed that you said "that's what any mafia would do" not "that's what any mafia would do, too."

SUSPICION LEVELS RISING

(looks like your plan got derailed)

However, I have noticed, that whenever I post something suspicious, or with "mistake" wording, Numerous immediatly jumps on my "mistake". Examples above.

Because voting one person off will reveal whether they're mafia or innocent, and naturally reveals their intentions.

PS: DO NOT TRY TO REPLY IN THE MIDDLE OF TF2 ETC IT DOESNT WORK VERY WELL

Lynching townspeople definatly helps the Maffia, and Icarus's idea of not lynching is not beneficial to the maffia.

Come to think of it, how many people are in the mafia anyways?

If there's 11 people in the game, then a quarter of them would be 3, right?

Which REALLY narrows it down, eh.

EDIT: Also, let's undeadlock it;
Unvote:Nerdboy
Vote:Icarus

Yet 'nuther edit:
Wow, I fail at counting. more than 3, I think.

Also, nerdboy, I'm always defneding myself like this. Besides, it's my duty as resident troll to make everyone paranoid as hell.

Making everyone paranoid as hell helps the maffia. So does lynching an innocent, which the maffia knows that icarus is.

It should also be noted that quite early on in the thread, he was starting to make blocks of arguments, and most importantly, randomly changing around votes. I see that he changed to 4 different people, including himself, with no reason. What is the reason imo? To confuse, and generally disconbobulate people.

I'm with Grim on this one, Numerous is mighty suspicous. And discombobulating.

Honestly? In case you haven't guessed, it's because I honestly can't take this game seriously. Besides, it's more fun to not be so serious and uptight. It's fun as hell to make people paranoid, you should watch me when I'm spy. "IS THAT A DR I HEAR? DID I REALLY DIE? HEY ENGI, BEHIND YOU!" *shoots with ambassador*.
But yea, you're right, I'm very clearly mafia, and definitely not innocent.

Obviously.

Unvote: Who did I vote, anyways? Well, unvote whoever I voted.
Vote: Numerous.

Also, unlike Grim, my trolling has been entirely arbitrary.

The best thing is that now I have mafia immunity! No "midnight surprise" for me!

Wait wait wait... when did I become a perma-lurker D:
I've been in here but I've never felt like I've needed to post. I've only posted when I felt I needed to point something out or suchlike. However, you do raise some good points there and numerous, that's the sort of post that a mafia would post to try and push the blame away.

It wasnt. My posts were trying to gauge players, and their responses to my posts.

I'm willing to believe this, but there ways of gauging responses without getting a wagon on you.

being a maffia in my eyes would be quite fun.

More reason for them not to post. They lurk, they don't get noticed, they get to continue killing every night. Occasionally they throw out a post, keep themselves in the game and maybe get a lynch going. So you're right in looking for people posting more but without substance, active lurkers.

Icarus's idea of not lynching is not beneficial to the maffia.

So very wrong. A day without a lynch is a day with no threat to the mafia. The town's only tool against the mafia is the vote, and a no-lynch is choosing not to use it. Meanwhile mafia still get a kill that night. Town is no closer to their goal, but mafia is. No-lynches aren't always bad, but they are for sure early in the game.

Grim, how can you be confident of your reads of troll responses to your troll posts?

This logic would be correct if Icarus was the maffia, however he wasn't, so it leaves us back where we started. Numerous wanted to push it over, so that he didn't look like the maffia in your admittedly better than everyone else at that point calculations. Just like he is doing right now, voting for himself.

Grim, do you really think with the amount of inexperience here that a newbie townsperson couldn't suggest a no-lynch, mistakenly believing it to be the best action?

Our lack of lynch yesterday is a hole a townsperson started, sure. But there was scum somewhere helping dig it.

So you believe Numerous is trolling as an attempt to defend himself, that's he's too scummy to be scummy, correct? Do you think Nerdboy is doing the same?

And now I'm basically lurking, because of sh** happening in life.

But seriously, I reckon owlruler looks like a mafia. Unlike me, he's actually been somewhat serious (see my post of a heavily-edited PM "proving" I'm innocent, a few pages back) and he's been mostly lurking, then jumps out onto the bandwagon to vote for me.

So,
Unvote: Numerous
Vote: Owlruler

Honestly though, it seems to me that the most effective way to play mafia would be to sit back out of the way, and let us rip the sh** out of eachother, with only a little prod here and there.
