I still think it's nonsense to have so many rails on a rooftop. If someone is up there, they either know what they're doing, or they shouldn't be up there.

Wow, this is the first time I've seen TF2maps civil in a SWATY thread!

I also have to say that courtyard looks clean, crisp, and fun. You deserve accolades.

what about some of the greyish securityfences up there ?
i mean it's logical that you want some visible barrier up there, so no fool "touches the electricity" but a yellow railing says "yeh visitors, watch out and don't fall down there" while a bigger fence says "sry guys, you're not allowed to get up there".
i mean, i don't know if people can walk up there, but if they can't the 2nd method would make more sense to me as an observer.

I'll be back after a few days to read the comments that you guys have for beta 4 since I won't be here because Im going to visit Ubisoft. Peace out for now. :)

Beta 4 Changelog:

-Modified the entire area where the catwalks used to be due to the death pits being a problem.
-Fixed a few textures overlapping.
-Added more health/ammo.
-Improved fps.
-Added more detail in some certain areas of the map.
-Fixed a few other visual glitches throughout the map.

Alright Mr. SWATY I took a look at your map, not only because I wanted to see your work with my own two eyes but also to give you some screens on what I think you need to fix. Apologies if these things are known and repeated.

BLU Side roof for the hallway right next to the flag room. Not sure what is going on, but I didn't see any nodraw sides on the RED equivalent of the building.

I strongly suggest you playerclip both the "lip" and the rails. By strafing against the rails I was able to stand up on top of the lip that the handrails rest on. I imagine hugging these rails and trying to shoot someone (trust me, it happens) would be awkward as a result.

Why again is this section not playerclipped? Sure, it looks like you can get over here, and you can, but there are sections of the map you look like you can get to but can't, so in a way the map is defying its own logic. Plus, there is no advantage to getting here; I got here as a Scout and couldn't jump my way back, and going to and from as a Soldier left me at little health.

I'm pretty sure you intend for people to be able to get under (and even build) underneath this waterfall. Nothing technically wrong with this, although it could be cheap for people who wanted to take this shortcut but got ambushed by something they had no chance of seeing.

You probably know this already, but there are a LOT of seams in your water brushes. I'm not sure why, but it's very noticeable.

Can see into the blank sky here. Won't really be seen that often in gameplay but it is sort of weird. Maybe make a simple gray brush here to show the dam's bottom?

Anyway, keep up your work with the map. After you fix some technical and gameplay issues, this could be one of the best CTF maps around.

The rooftops look better without the rails, but the bases still look far too similar. A stripe or a change of texture would really help with navigation. In the red base, you should be using the yellow barrels from badlands (or water_barrel_cluster2) in order to remove as much blue as possible.

the next version will be an RC1 that will fix all the problems that strangemodule found and I guess that will be it for this map.

the lamp hanging in the center of the doorway is there in the second shot but not in the first.

Wow... took me a full minute to notice that, just looking at the screenshots.
