L4D2 Demo has been Delayed

Then Gabe or Coach would have probably eaten it, I know I would've. But seeing as the admins of the L4D group are playing it, that can't be true.

I'm not too bothered about the delay really - I don't think that anyone can honestly say they weren't expecting it, just that most people didn't expect it to be this long. Oh well, hopefully it'll be up by the morning. Until then, I'm going to bed .

I dont even care if the delay was 2 days. What i do care about is their lack of showing information on WHY its delayed. Especialy if they delay it after the deadline. People wait for the demo and each time they dont mention a delay they waste 30 minutes for them. And that means they wasted 2 hours in total already.

Someone on the valve forums posted a reason why they should give info. IF you buy a car and you hear you would get it today at 7pm, you go to the dealer and find out the car isnt there and you have to wait 6 hours without a clear reason you are frustrated. Espeicialy if you are waiting for nothing 4 times in a row. In that case you would take some higher actions and the dealer would get a very negative name. The problem with valve is that there is no alternative to get l4d from and they abuse that. they just dont give any info.

People are frustrated for a good reason and i hope the valve forums will get alot more spam so the people of valve will just get completely sick of it. Valve should get a decent punishment as they act like they dont care about their customers.

I just hate it that i waste time because valve is just too lazy to even give a note why its delayed. IT could have been done in just a single line... Even that is too much for them. Even if that single line that they have to type will couse a delay of 30 more minutes thats fine. As long as they give a reason.

Somehow I think more people would complain that they are wasting time on an explanation. I'm slowly starting to get annoyed becuase of there being no explanation, it would probably take them one minute to say something. The only thing really causing them to not explain is either a major power/internet failure or some serious injury/whatever.

My grandmother is flying in from somewhere near Washington I believe and her flight is extremely delayed due to bad weather. A mass power outage may just be the case.

Indeed it is, now it just has to decrypt the game files. First time i have scene the please wait while steam unlocks your game files dialog.

Mine is stuck their as well, maybe some big file at that spot or something. Well at least you got past it.

EDIT: damn like half my fiends list is already ingame and im still decrypting.

EDIT 2: i have heard from others that it jumped for 60 to 100 percent.

If your steam download is slow, try this (it worked for me with TF2 updates)...

• Go to Content server stats
• Click "View individual server statistics"
• Find your area. Those servers are probably busy-busy-busy.
• Instead, find a server that is not marked "[filtered]" and whose bar is far to the left.
• Note the region.
• Go to Steam settings, the "Download" tab, and change your "Download Region" to the un-busy one.
• Restart Steam, see if it goes faster than before.
• When done, switch your Download Region back.

Running crescendo is intense, weapon variety is great, the common infected don't look like the same 4 zombies over and over again... it's just great.

Really really great.

And the jukebox is heartwarming.

Indeed. I just feel really annoyed now that we have to wait another 3 weeks for it :/

The jukebox is amazing, but not many people realise it. I played it, and everyoen else ran off leaving me in the restaurant, so I took the back exit to catch up with them (They went the long way) Walking outside down an alley and RAWR out pops a charger.

Charger is by far the best thing to happen to L4D2 so far for me. Just seeing it run at 200mph past you and into a teammate=epic
