A unique spin on King of the Hill with a second point that launches airstrikes. Now on Workshop!
This is koth_strikezone - a unique spin on King of the Hill with a second point that launches airstrikes!
DESCRIPTION
This King of the Hill gamemode variation has a secondary point. The point can be captured after the main point by any team, but it does not contribute to team progression.
Instead, capturing this point launches the airstrike: both main and secondary points arelocked, the doors slowly close and an airstrike happens, killing everyone outside of buildings. (excluding spawn area)
8 seconds after the explosion, the doors open and the main point gets unlocked. The secondary point gets unlocked after another 60 seconds. (i made this cooldown so that airstrikes could not be spammed)
PLOT
A seemingly innocent facility under construction contains several airstrikes ready to be launched. It is unknown how the airstrikes got past multiple inspections. Nevertheless, a BLU scout discovered the hidden area accidentally, while trying to find a place to listen to music without all the construction sounds. The information was then transfered to RED by a spy. Now the two teams are fighting for a massive aerial advantage.

This map is inspired by a Half-Life map "crossfire", that featured a similar airstrike mechanic.
