multiarena_tundra _a1b
Man's purpose is to know 2009 and to love it forever
I built the bulk of this map way back in 2022.
Since it was unfinished, I listed it on my Sketchbook thread, and... nobody cared.
Now it's 2024 (a highly auspicious year), I'm 20 years old, and the original problem of adding arena_graveyard logic to a multi-stage arena map was trivial, once revisited.
The basic premise is that there are three control points, and each round one of them is picked to play over.
Winning the round counts as capturing the control point, no matter what.
Once your team owns two out of three control points, you win the map overall.
The interesting thing, and indeed the original concept behind this map, is the fact that it's set in a rather large tundra, and even though you're picking one point to play around each round, in reality all three points are present in the same physical space, and all are accessible (but not necessarily capturable) during every round.
So, if you're a sneaky Sniper or Spy, or a rocket-jumping fanatic, you're given a massive, not-often-used area to sneak up on your enemies with.
This could never work in any other gamemode than Arena, since it'd lead to spawncamping - but in Arena, you only spawn once anyway!
