Welcome to Idol, a VIP Escort map featuring a new type of VIP: the Mobster. He's armed, dangerous and on his way to heist factories and steal treasures.
Testing some changes to make it a little easier for Blue to attack B. Major changes include:
  • Reds respawn time has been increased for both points, with more time added to B's respawn time. However, the time to cap the points for Blue has been increased. The hope is that it is easier for Blue to get to the point, but gives Red a good change to defend them with longer cap times
  • Clipping issues identified in last test
  • Sniper issues
  • Area of ruins leading into B has been covered to eleminate certain issues
  • Other small visual changes and updates
Most detailed version before RC

Updates include:
  • All dev textures removed and almost all of the map completely detailed
  • Lighting updates throughout. Ruins visual updates and fixes
  • 1 second of cap time added to B, .5 added to A
  • Natural sounds added throughout the map
  • Flow around blue forward spawn readusted
  • Small visual optimications
  • More clipping added for gameplay
  • Lots of other small tweaks and fixes

  • New ruins textures half applied and bunk beds to blue (texture and bunk beds by Wendy)
  • Route in building going to A slightly changed through building
  • Time to cap A increased by :15, Also :15 added to B after A is capped
  • Optimizations across the map
  • Improved clipping in places
  • Fixed other small issues, visual bugs, and other things I have forgotten

  • Changed approach from A to B by moving route, narrowed map again in B section as result, water more open next to point
  • Changes to long path for blue leading to B, closed down some sight lines
  • Added torches that can light arrows around ruins on B in various places
  • Fixed spawn issue from blue
  • Small health/ammo leading to point chagned to med for both
  • Fixed various lighting, visual updates, small amount of detailing added, small fixes and clipping issues

  • Stairs in front of A, favoring Red have been removed
  • Full ammo reduced to med ammo next to point
  • Detailing has started around the map with all floor displacements now in place

Updates:
  • Red respawn reduced by 1 second on A, and 2 seconds on B. Red instantly respawns after A is capped
  • Blue time to cap A reduced by 15 seconds, time added to cap B reduced by 15 seconds
  • Map thinned by at least 96 units across map. First building hallway shorter as a result. First section is ~208+ units thinner. Final section around B also signicatly reduced in size. Blue first spawn doors slightly closer together ~144 units
  • B back route reworked to enter point now, small ammo and health added to new path, size of water next to point bigger
  • Red spawn reworked for easier flow to both A and B points. Spawn points remain the same throughout the map. Flow should majorly reduce spawn camping
  • Clipping fixes
  • Starting Cameras added for A
  • Lots of small visual updates, lighting and small gameplay changes
