Yellow and Green Teams

Do you guys think the addition of new colored teams would be good? I think it could make maps so much more exciting. You could play maps where 3 teams are trying to get a point, or you can ally teams to attack another team, then switch allies. I think it would be fun and allow for more creativity.

I just think back to TFC, and how rarely a third or 4th team was used (though hunted was a cool map). Though I wouldn't mind a three-way (/giggle) map where its like hydro or something, but two teams fighting for the same point with a third defending.

Fun/programming required wouldn't be a good ratio
Teambalancing would be a nighmare
Teamwork would be downplayed (less players to work with)

I remember playing the ship and how much fun that was. Then we discovered there were two more teams that no one had ever even tried. Pretty much killed the game.... so more teams is never good. :/ The chaos that would ensue....

TBH I can't imagine a yellow or a green team. It would be ugly as hell, you're not used to it... Nope, not a big fan.
Unless if you make the green base of the map awesome tree huts. But you would have to make a mod for the game.

I bet many of you would have thought that the stuff Valve was doing is a bad idea, but then they made it awesome. Why is it that even the supposed creative people here cannot see potential???

And that matters why? If someone uses it in a bad way, nobody will use it that way!

By that theory, about half the TF2 servers out there wouldn't be running "finished" maps with dev textures.

Its very simple: If a server runs maps nobody likes, then nobody will come to the server.
And if nobody comes to the server, they get rid of those maps and get new ones. Simple.
Its the same thing with features and stuff. If a map utilizes a feature in a boring or annoying way, people won't want to use that map! HOWEVER! Having the option of such features would allow greater creativity and potential. Its like having deleted scenes in a movie, you don't NEED it but usually its a cool idea to have it and it doesn't take away anything from the main movie (or map in our case)
