Would a Map Analytics Tool be Useful?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a good idea:

A program that shows where things are happening on a map (eg. kills, sticky traps, übers). It would also highlight sniper sightlines and potential perchpoints, among other useful things. You could filter info by class, time, payload progress, etc.

The idea would be to give mappers a clear look at the data that playtesting has generated in order to aid in the design process.

I think the idea is interesting, but I don't really want to spend a lot of time on something useless.
Would you use this tool?

Is heatmaps.tf still being used on the testing servers? Last I heard they didn't work anymore.

Heatmaps still collects data but the imaging software hasn't been run in ages, so no new maps are displayed.

I am actually doing a data analyst course for my masters degree, I could see about making heatmaps.tf great again

It definitely seems like there's a place for such a tool, but does it sound like something you would actually use?
