When Building Payload Race Maps, should I follow normal payload gamemode guides, or should I look for something else?

I was making a payload race map, and was having trouble finding guides and or tutorials on how to make one. However, I can only find standard payload map tutorials. Does anyone have any recommendation of how i could fix this problem?
