I'd say option 2 is best. A sentry needs a good gaurded position to cover point, but also needs to be exposed from somewhere. Other team memebers need to help engie against the rockets and grenades. Ubers work too.

Uber only bust is a bad idea IMO. You get a good juggling pyro, or now a bonk to stop uber, too hard to get sentry.

Only being able to control a path means 2 things. Players can come at you from front and back. One path to point is left open.
