Hi guys! I've just launched the first public preview of http://mk3.tf2stats.net/

Some of you have probably already seen it in maps chat. Whatever.

Anyway, there's a new interface where you can submit map info and all sorts of shiny stuff.

I'm looking for bug reports and feedback. let me know what you find, what you want, and what needs changed. I did a pretty mad code rush today, so I'm sure I did at least a few dumb things.

Nobody ever told me these were remotely interesting before you. I still track the data though. Added to the TODO list

General
- I still think all the browns mix together too much... it lacks... contrast? Is that the word? I dunno, I'm no designer
- Page titles missing (<title></title>)
- Still think the tabs need a bit of hover love.

Front page
- Make the Map Search's box the same height as the other two


Servers
- Clicking on a server in the ajax drop down thingy doesn't take me there directly, I have to hit search first.
- A bunch of server configuration settings that I don't care about. mp_flashlight for example has little purpose in TF2. (http://mk3.tf2stats.net/server/150.101.183.175:27015)
- "Updated at" with no date in the header (or is this because you've got it disabled?)
- Could we get map thumbnails next to each map in the rotation? *dreams*

Player Profiles
- Typing 3 or more letters into the player search box results in a Javascript error
- Center the contents of the tooltips
- Unfade the "Equipped" and quantity texts. Hard to read
- http://mk3.tf2stats.net/player/pcmadness Page 4, Quantity on the Duels item is floating off to the right
- Paint can images are still wrong (you can use mine you know )
- Add in a show all pages mode. I've been spying on the SPUF and noticed that these are kinda dividing the different backpack viewers, some people prefer seeing all 4 pages at once (ie TF2B / TF2Stats) and the rest paged. I was going to add in something that when you click on the page numbers it'd show all 4 to TF2 Profiles.

Item Stats
- the weapon names in the tool tips aren't coloured based on whether they're stock or unlocks.

Looking amazing though, I love the new maps page! The idea of screenshots and featured maps is really good

EDIT: Only niggle, you can't middle click or rightclick -> new tab the Featured Map or popular maps pictures to open in a new tab (or window).

Oh, and can you make the maps tab the homepage? Personally between a wall of ugly text and the sexy looking maps page, I'll take the maps page. It's also kinda weird from a navigation viewpoint to have the homepage disappear after you visit one of the other pages.

Are you going to add a featured player? And how much would it take to make my map the featured one?

Featured maps are (will be) chosen nightly. It works like this:

Highest ranked map that day that...
- Has a photo
- Hasn't been featured before

So as long as your map has a picture, it'll be featured sooner or later depending on how popular it is.

and if every map with a picture has been featured, it starts over

If there's a trading site out there that tracks trade data and is willing to open up an API, I'd happily add this information.

I made a map long time ago, called pl_verity_1a. It was a predecessor to plr. Man, it was terrible.

And it looks like it HAS AN XMAS VERSION NOW.

I'm intrigued and scared at the same time.

Small little insignificant bug, all the crates come up with two crate verseions

e.g.
Crate Series #4
Crate Series #2

Crate Series #3
Crate Series #1

Crate Series#4
Crate Series#4

Also, is there any particular reason behind the pic for the guest login being:

Or is that a bug

EDIT: Also, the heading for "cosmetic/misc stats" actually says "hat statistics"

The Crate Series thing is a bug for any backpack viewer thing, I believe, as tf2items does it as well. Which makes me assume Valve is lazy.
