Steam beta problem 25th March 2010

Today i have been experiencing problems regarding the steam beta and i know other people have been experiencing the problem. A thread was put up about it here http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1203306&page=10.

So i've posted this hre for 2 reasons one so if anyone comes here looking for help it's there and two if anyone knows or can think of a reason for this. I can only guess this means they're in the process of updating the beta or replacing the regular steam with the beta.

I mean its a Beta its not final of course its going to have problems, i cant open that link because my phone will not open it but if its what im thinking of it might be the problem when the text randomly goes Blue or Green

Having trouble starting Steam? Create a shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe" -clearbeta (or whatever your Steam folder) & run it.

I'm not on the beta so I can't confirm this works

The UI Beta is free, just go under your profile settings and apply for it. Then just restart steam.

I'm not on my computer at the moment but if I can remember correctly-

Right click steam in your task bar
click settings
I forgot which tab, I think it was Advanced or something
Look for the right tab till you see beta's and just look for something that says "Opt in to the UI beta"
