Crouching while using the amby is only really useful to make yourself a smaller target, somewhat handy if you're sniping someone a fair distance away. (No damage falloff for crit headshots)

As for stairstabs, they are useful but fairly limited - there isn't a whole lot of opportunity to use them in a real game. That said, my favourite spot is badwater just next to the 3rd cap

i think the different watches have different uncloak speeds, the dead ringer for example is horribly slow uncloaking, and i think the CnD is just a fraction slower than standard watch

i remember back in the day (before the scout update i think.) when spies could stab out of cloak....those days where great

Spies couldn't stab out of cloak since... sometime pre-Pyro update at least. Perhaps you mean the nerf where spies can't instantly begin to re-cloak after stabbing?
