Hi,
I would like to modify plr_hightower to make it a Special Delivery map but my computer isn't powerful enough to compile swf vmf files (even with Compile Pal) and host a server so I can't even test it. Could someone apply these modifications to Hightower ? :

I was wondering to make the map symetrical and to apply a Watergate style and to improve the central tower but I don't think anyone has time for this.

You can change Hightower on your own in Hammer and then ask somebody to compile it for you. Also you can upload map for test in our discord channel!

A beefy computer is not needed to compile maps, even my potato can do it, although it takes some time.

Is it Hammer or is it your entire computer?

My computer just lags a lot but Hammer closes itself after it became a black window for few minutes.
PS: I just realized we met on TF2 wiki already !

Is it a desktop PC or a laptop, and have you ever cleaned it from dust?

This is a laptop and I cleaned dust last month

Download OpenHardwareMonitor and use it to see what your CPU temperatures do while compiling.

Not done yet. I do it when I'm back home

Edit: How much RAM do you have, and what OS are you using?

I have 4 Go and I'm on Windows 7

If you ever removed the heatsink in the laptop, did you ever replace the thermal paste? If you haven't, then have you tried removing programs you don't need, disabling programs you don't want on startup, and running both disk cleaner, a virus scanner, and disk defrag? Some of those may or may not help with hammer, but they do help with general processor performance.
