Begun work on this again:
Patch forecast:
~Updated textures to be aligned better
-Updated caves to not be, shit.
-Updated optimization for quicker compiling
-Wood textures are A LOT better now
-Lighting has been slightly updated in some areas
-Fixed decals and overlays

A new version will be out tomorrow!

In general I like the map, just think it need brighten up in a lot of places

The spot where your crates are embedded the deepest into the ground is right were the sand transitions into grassy soil. That doesn't make sense. They're supposed to be sunken into the soft sand, right? The ground ought to be pure sand all around that spot.

Map has finally hit b10!
Honestly I think this is ready for RC after the next test (throw it in an imp whenever you guys want) but before I put it in RC, what do you guys want to see change in it? I've received some great feedback so far (thanks Aly and Egan) and some more would be appreciated!

Welp, Sandstone is finally finished after 9 months of development, instead of giving a long and sappy story of how much I learnt about more than just mapping, i'm just going to say thanks to everyone who helped along the way. You all deserve it.

Rc4 Has been Released, it fixes some issues with the map, including NOBUILD under the stairs added, and this sight-line issue: There are also some small visual fixes, including wood not properly being attached.

Also progress is being made on the pro variant. Including removing 75% of the models, here is a picture of what the lighting is going to look like:
