Red X Particles in my map

    I am working on a deathrun map, and people are reporting seeing those weird X particles whenever they fall in the toxic slime.
    I can't see them myself though, but my friend made a screenshot

    It's slowing down fps for players, and i haven't found a single guide how to fix this problem.
    Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Maybe it's some unpacked particles?

    If you don't use custom particles, check the VMT of the texture.
    Dont use %CompileSlime in your VMT, it's broken in tf2. Just exchange it with %CompileWater.

    Is the toxic slime some sort of entity or what?
