    hey there everyone,
I have a quick question about moving doors in a map. I have a prop_dynamic brush set up as door that will move up out of the way when a player passes through it, the door is located on the bottom level of a building with the second floor right above it. My question is will the said prop_dynamic pass through the ceiling to the second level and be visible blocking players from moving past it or does the brush simply "disappear" as it rises up out of the way. some help would be greatly appreciated as it seem the only way to check is to have someone else in the map checking while i run through the door.

Retexturing the ceiling above you with a glass texture would also have allowed you to see the door going through the ceiling.

If you're stuck having to rebuild the brushes near the door and you want a "cheap" fix, make your door an animated model. Valve has 1 or 2 sliding doors which can be triggered to display opening/closing animations.
