i guess thanks. i wish valve would just optimize tf2 on xbox/ps3, balance it out a bit, and fix exploits. maybe a few more maps.

Valve is working on PS3 update that brings all pc content to PS3 TF2, Xbox won't get it because Valve got sick of Microsoft policy about updates.

I thought it could't be applied to the 360 because of memory limitations.

Yeah, the 360 doesn't get the updates because of system limitations. Also possibly because Microsoft apparently has a "no free DLC" policy, which is why Valve can't release the L4D/L4D2 addon campaigns for free over there. Imagine what it would cost to get all this TF2 content... :O

Hopefully the new Steamworks on PS3 we'll get support added to Team Fortress 2 as well.

They're doing cross-platform for Portal 2 so I don't see why they shouldn't for tf2

Too bad this is supposed to come with Portal 2, which won't be released until 2013.

I thought part of the problem with the PS3 port was that EA had the source code to the port and wasn't willing to give it to them (and/or they'd prefer to not have two different ports of the engine to deal with). Although I guess they could always offer a trade-in program: send them your Orange Box disc and your Steam username, get a voucher for a free copy of the Orange Box on Steam, which gets you the PS3 version.
