Pictures say a thousand words Okay so part of the map im working on I am extremely happy with my windmill BUT its made with displacements... I want to make it so it spins...but you cant spin a displacement so question is is there any way you guys can think how to get what I want? any way to turn hammer shit into props? Thanks for any help! EDIT: I found a tutorial where you can make prefabs into props through xsi...but I'm stupid so that wont work.
you might be able to group them and then tie them to func_rotation. Ive never done it before but if I was to start I would start there.
You can't turn displacements into entities, at all. So either you have to make them out of brushes or models. I think models is the only way since if nothing has changed in the SDK func_rotating is still broken, but don't quote me on that, its been a while since I checked
I think you can make it a rotating door, and just make it open alot Awhile back on the forum this came up and I think someone knew how to make it continuallly spin. Maybe searching func_door_rotating will help
just use brushes instead of displacements and clip them so they look curved. then just set their parent to the func_rotating or w/e it is
