Ok valve shud do this

-An slighly animated background for menu of every map
-Red V Blu background
-Class backgrounds

Give me your thoughts and anyone that can contact valve plz do

still it wud be good if valve did it as some people want there to be alot of them to show up rather than 1 showing up like they did red or blue

ye ok maybe not all of them but i think that the backgrounds in hl2 whee they animated maps was magic

k im doin summin now but does anyone know how tf2 selects backgrounds thinking of making big variety

Source games use the scripts\ChapterBackgrounds.txt file to load background maps. However, this doesn't work in TF2. No matter what you do to it, the game will only load static VTF backgrounds. The only way to load background maps in TF2 is the map_background console command.

TF2 originally had a dustbowl background but this was dropped either in the beta or shortly afterwards because it made some peoples PC's explode.

I'm all for more static painted backgrounds though.. only if they dont overwrite existing ones

ok but has anyone asked valve to add these but i have another idea, it scans your pc (or looks at your potions menu to decide) and only uses menu backgrounds that your pc can cope with (or you decide)

btw the guy that voted they'll ask valve what did valve say
