Materialsrc folder missing

That is the folder i am currently in. I'm looking to make several posters/decals for a map, but the materialsrc folder is missing. D=

The only folders are mapsrc, and particles T.T halp?

i assume what you are asking is how to add posters/decals you have already made so they show up in hammer?

if that is what you are asking they need to go in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\zahri\team fortress 2\tf\materials
instead

No, i just barely have the TGA file. Based on one of the guides here, it's saying the TGA must be converted to a VTF, but for that to work, i need to have the TGA in the materialsrc folder, then use a converter that came with the source sdk. o.o I only have the TGA atm.

hmm...id like to see a link to this tutorial...

and yes...you can use that program to convert to a vtf...but I find its a mildly irritating process
i use the photoshop plugin http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=154 for the rare times I want to add something <_<

For Vtex.exe to work correctly, your TGA needs to be located in your Source SDK Content Team Fortress 2 Material Source folder, Crogram FilesSteamsteamapps***YOUR USERNAME***sourcesdk_contenttfmaterialsrc. You may not have a TF2 materialsrc folder, just create one

When i use the Vtex.exe, this happens o.o (refer to attachment)

Your image should be something-able with 2, so resolution must be
512x512
256x256
1024x512
512x256

Or something like that.

I think the valid numbers you can mix is
16
32
64
128
256
512
1024
2048
