koth_valley [What do you think?]

    Hello all,

    Ok so i'm am an old mapper (mapped a bit for dod 1.3, but since then I haven't done much).

    So I have been playing TF² for a year now, and I want to make a map, I sketched up a design, hopefully you guys can tell me what you think about it.

    So, the map takes place in a valley, the objctive is to capture the pint on the bridge (I'm still hesitating if I should make an open bridge or with a roof :/), inside a valley, their is an entrance and a exit on both sides of the valley, one for blue, one for red, I think i will add those doors that block the other team to enter.
    Their are also 2 towers for snipers (I can't see if they dominate the map yet) and a foresty area for the players to manage to get through without being sniped.

    So what do you guys think? Anything to add maybe? Or to remove?

    For now it's a koth map, maybe later on I'll make it bigger to adapte it into a CP.

    Well, I've added 3 snipers to show that at the moment is is too open. Together, these 3 snipers can cover almost the entire map by themselves.

    You'd need to put a cover on the bridge or the snipers would dominate from the decks.

    Ok so I changed those towers into larger buildings.
    The bridge is also now covered.

    The sniper in the middle who can shoot at the point doesn't bother me much, I don't want to make a full anti-sniper map x).

    So heres the update, if you have more advice or see things to change =).

    If you put some rocks around and maybe some alternate passages like sewer pipes from the buildings emptying into the river (near the point), it could be a very good map.

    Their we go, so I added an entrance to the river from the valley sides (inside), and from the buildings (don't know if that's too much, 4 ways to get into the river).
    The circles are some rocky areas (near the point to avoid too much advantage to the sniper, but he still can shoot).

    What do you think now?
