that visible crack adds like 10 polygons whatsoever. even if it were 100 it wouldn't matter much in todays computer world. a normal map for that hat would be more expensive than these couple old polygons

almost every detail from almost every hat can't be seen if not upclose. it's the point of cool gimmicky things to present some cool thing when you come close to it..

I'd basically have to redo the entire bottom of the model, and texture to add in more detail to the crack. Way more work for something I don't feel is worth it.

Only the w_models work for all classes cause Valve was lazy and decided to still use the w_model for the engie's shotgun rather than the c_model.
