i cant add textures in hammer (i really want to make something)

i literally have no experience in hammer so i dont know what to do.
im watching tutorials on how to use hammer but i think it might not be up to dat because i tried to follow it perfectly but when i made blocks i couldnt add textures to it. it was just a wireframe.

try going to Camera (top left of your 3D view) and pressing 3D textured or 3D shaded textured
