A huge figure? That's not 13 (thirteen) percent, that's .13 (POINT one three) percent. Not even two-tenths of one percent.

statistics show that states or countries that have banned guns altogether, have a higher crime rate. gg?

Those statistics given in that article prove nothing.

In Australia, guns were banned in 1997 and the crime rate has almost tripled. Since guns were banned in England, the crime rate has doubled.
might be true, because -for instance- those banning laws also included better administration of crime rate.
That was the case on AIDS. First, people died of AIDS, but we couldn't diagnose the disease. AFTER we knew the disease, loads of people died of aids. Not true! Same rate as before, only now we knew the correct diagnose.

I can -for instance- say: since the speed limit was lowered to 100 km/h on highways, lethal accidents have doubled. But we also might switched driving on the left side now instead of right...

A good debater can see the flaws in the "proving statistics". This is just an example of proving the moon is made from cheese.

Death Penalty. You shoot a guy you get hung. Not needled. Straight roped in public. No one will shoot anyone then. Jail for shooting someone is not a big enough punishment.

Because after the first man was hanged back in the day, everyone saw what would happen to them if they committed a crime. Thus crime was universally dismissed in favor of unlimited freedom and fair treatment of all, and everyone lived happily ever after. The End.
