I'm planning on starting a new map. I know what I want it to look like and so far I want it to play like this : -It has axial symmetry. -Blue has a base on one side, red on the other side. The "bases" are merely used as spawn/resupply points and don't hold any kind of objectives. -There are 3 initially neutral CPs in the middle, that both teams try to capture/defend. -The objective is to hold as many CPs for as long as possible, to accumulate points faster. First team to X points wins (can't stalemate). -CPs don't provide forward spawns (though they may or may not give respawn wave time advantage) I think domination is what describes this gametype best, though it is also significantly different from the 7cp, spawn-at-cp + jail, domination type. On the other hand, I am aslo enticed to go with a generic cp_ prefix for the sake of keeping it familiar (this prefix already encompasses a number of different game modes anyway, granary/dustbowl/gravelpit among others). Also, do you think this gametype would work (provided CPs are close enough to each other) or that it divides players too much ? Should I rather aim for a koth gametype ?
